I'm sure we could win this if we cared enough, but do we actually care?

We won our pre-tournament friendly against /s/ 4-0, but they are a third-rate team and aren't even in the Summer Cup.

Isn't soccer played outside?

Oh man, the excitement of watching computer vs computer, where any participation is utterly meaningless and any victory is a joke. Go watch WarGames to find out the winner.

Get Out of /jp/ is an absolute star player, he scored a hatrick in that friendly.

We need a real competition, because right now, the only good thing about this tournament is the commentator(s).

>> No.8946025

General consensus is we don't care about this shit, especially since it's rigged.

If you really wanted to pretend to be from /jp/, then you'd wait until your thread is at page 15 before you bump it.

I enjoyed this last time. This time we should use the 1-6-3 formation. From Wikipedia:
"The 1–6–3 formation was first utilised by Japan at the behest of General Yoshijirō Umezu in 1936. Famously, Japan defeated the heavily favoured Swedish team 3–2 at the 1936 Olympics with the unorthodox 1–6–3 formation, before going down 0–8 to Italy. The formation was dubbed the "kamikaze" formation"

>I'm sure we could win this if we cared enough
But it's all automated. We have no input besides the names and such.

Though that is fun, and I enjoyed the commentary. Their reaction to BANJO FINGER POWERHOUSE was wonderful.

For us to reach victory , we must first adjust the squad in a way that it truly represents the /jp/ team. We also need to make a decent uniform and customize the characters faces. Also, as the other anon said, we must adjust our formation. We could also take a look at the previous games and see why the other teams were winning. When we understand how did they win or lose, we could just adapt our team in the way that it will win against the adversary.

Take this crap out of MY glorious board.

I don't care about things that matter much less sports, and much much less video game sports.

>> No.8946951

I agree that the concept is completely stupid.
That's why it's pretty fun.

I enjoy seeing boards like /3/ or /n/ destroying other teams too.

This. Some of the players are pretty clever, but the teams don't look like their boards. Even the colors don't feel right, except for /x/'s.

I think I caught a glimpse of a semi-accurate Dawson, but it may have been my imagination.

This. If we had to do things, nobody would. The fun is entirely meta, and it's nice to see a cross-board project that is reasonably enjoyable and the whining is usually at a minimum (but still high, because 4chan).

>> No.8947012

We'd better use this as our theme again. It must play every time we score a goal.

>> No.8947340

>>8947122
No. We need to be ridiculous and ironic, much like the nature of our board. Plus if we try this seriously and lose, we'l look dumb.

6-3-1 represents our undying Japanese spirit as well, the perfect formation for us. We should have all of our all-stars in the front, too.
