Is it possible to have a job and play VNs?

>> No.8951692

No. Once you pick one you're unable to put any levels into the other.

>> No.8951699

Of course! If you get a job as an office worker you can even read VNs as you work. I staff the reception desk at a high school academy and there's a lot of dead time so I'm free to do whatever.

I'm trying to get into "Asian Languages" section of human sciences. That means I would be working as a translator or somesuch in a Finnish company stationed in Japan.

And I think I'm still going to keep playing eroge after getting a job. The only reason I ever bothered to learn Jap in the first place was so I could play untranslated eroge.

This.

Trust me, I have a job. Still haven't finished a route in Osadai.

As soon as I picked up a job my vn reading speed slowed way the fuck down. I'm always tired when I get home and usually fall asleep when I sit in my computer chair. I don't even have time on my days off to read VNs anymore.

w-what if, what if my job consists of playing VNs?

>> No.8952182

You can... but finishing a VN can take a loooooong time.

>> No.8952694

>>8951708
so what company would you work for?

>> No.8952718

Yes, why not? I have a job and I play plenty of VNs.

>Spending over 100h in a shitty game like CoD which can be finished in 2h flat (counting reloads) is normal

>Spending 50h in a VN which can have several routes exceeding this time limit is absurd.

Hey, shitfuck, you shouldn't quote people without at least telling us who you're quoting.

>> No.8953171

6-figure master race over here. I don't read as many VNs as I used to, but that's mostly because fewer have caught my eye lately and I'd rather spend my increasingly shrinking alone time playing other games or reading non-VN stuff.

I work as at a shoe store for about 30-40 hours a week and I can still play 3-4 games a month. You guys must spend too much time whacking it and on 4chan.
