think so, its about protecting the workers that they don't need to work trough the night just so the shops can earn little more money.

In Japan ,most of the time the night shift is done by Koreans,students or Chinese.

But yeah its nice when at 3:00am you can go buy cigarettes or something to drink/eat

The thing about japanese conbenis isnt so much the fact they exist; we have them in australia too, and most petrol stations double as convenience stores 24/7. But the range of items you can buy and the relative value (compared to a purchase here) is just great.

In order of appreciation:

-Insanity - both the projection it has on its' media and the general acceptance of it. It's the inspiration for some awesome works out there, pic most likely related.

-Art Styles - I personally can't stand the (stereo)typical Western style. Blocky heads and muscles on girls can suck my cock, dude. This is where anime and manga are thrown in.

-NEET and Hikikomori - to have a term to describe yourself with is, personally, a great comfort, besides "jobless shut-in."

-Scenery - the people there are racist scumbags and the social atmosphere is always tense in the cities. But, when you manage to step away from all that and find a nice, wide open field, take a chance to lie down and watch the scenery. The sky is really clear during the winter, which also makes for great star-gazing. People and government aside, the land is pretty nice, and it's one of the few places I don't feel self-conscious traveling to.

-Food - pocky and all that other weeaboo shit can suck my cock, dude. I mean the meat. Hot pots. Fried eggs. Baked goods. Fried noodles. Cold, hard beer. Warm liquor. A nice weak scotch-whiskey blend - I like their scotch especially, since it has a slightly weaker taste than regular, without being watered down. Oh god, it's amazing, and it's also a heaven for you if you have a fast metabolism. But, it's a hell for you if you're a poor NEET, which is why it's low on the ranking - another reason being what comes AFTER the meal, it does a real toll on your stomach.
