Sometimes people do it as a roundabout way of posting Saten.

I've read them and they were pretty okay. Better than the anime. Saten's rarely in the main series though, she's primarily a Railgun character (which is a manga and yes it had two LN spin-offs so go discuss those if you want).

Yes, since they both have LN spin-offs. Though you should actually discuss Jotaro Kujo and Touta Matsuda and post screenshots of them from the anime. It's okay because they were in a light novel.

She barely even appears in Railgun, she's a side character to a side character that has only made 2 or 3 appearances after the Level Upper arc. The Railgun manga is about Misaka it's the anime that was The Adventures of Saten: Starring BiriBiri.

/b/ is decent if you don't take it seriously. If you can break free of the ‘but it's full of teenagers now and they do things that I don't like!’ mindset it's actually pretty fun for a quick laugh. Plenty of people who have been here from the beginning like JDigital and 0037 and Anonymous-san visit /b/ for this reason.

They even still discuss Wapanese shit fairly often.
