After having slept from 1 PM to 8 PM, I felt somewhat tired on 1 AM again, and laid down for a while. I ended up sleeping until 5 AM.

I had a weird dream about some sort of Touhou party. Dozens of Touhous were sitting around in a restaurant and trying different types of ice cream. The most favorite variant was a single ball of vanilla ice in a bowl with some fruit sauce. It was classy. I found something strangely beautiful: a cloth, made of intertwined dark and lightish pink fabric. It was soft, but also somewhat heavy. It was clean and in high quality, and had something flowery about it. (When I woke up, it remembered me of one of the Touhous, or maybe it was an impression of my mother when I was still very young.) I asked whether I could take it. It was ok, it seemed it was normal that everyone in that place would get something as keepsake. This wasn't strange at all, the fact that they had stuff like fish ice cream was more unusual. Then the music I was listening to in reality changed from Tamusic to euro-beat, and the beautiful scene was fading and suddenly everything was about strange drugs and I woke up.

Now I realize I was just like everyone else at that Touhou party, and the Touhous in my dream were probably just anons dressed as Touhous. That place must have been /jp/. I'll probably go back to bed in 8 hours or so.

Been living on my own for ~15 years, but for 10 of them I had a job. Landlord kept increasing the rent each year until it became too tight to afford it from welfare and not starve. So I moved back into my parents' house. I'm doing most of the household chores and gardening, they feed me and I can leech off their internet. Some might find this situation humiliating, but for me it's win-win as long as I only need to work for 1-2 hours per day for this lifestyle.

Not really a NEET story, but I feel like venting anyway because I'm a big baby. In my second year of university, I found a great one room apartment with a cooker and everything for a decent price, and I never had to spend time with other people or feel awkward when I went to use the cooker like in my first year with university provided accommodation.

But over the summer, my landlord has died, and my amazing apartment is no longer an option. I decided to try again for university accommodation, and ended up with a terrible 41 week let in a room that doesn't even have a fucking toilet, so far away from the campus that I need to take a bus every day.

So now my only real option is tacking on to a student house, filled with a bunch of people who are all friends, wasting time thinking about bills, and probably not even having a lock on my door so the normals can come in at any time and bother me.

My final year is going to suck.

I'm finally being kicked out of the house and will be forced to end my years of NEETdom. In a few days I will need to start university, live in a dorm with four other normals. I think they may expect me to interact with them but I don't think I'll have anything in common with them. I know some are girls and I may spontaneously develop nosebleeds like in my anniemays.

I'm especially self conscious about needing to eat around them, and I think they will criticise me for what I eat and how much of it. I am thinking of subsisting off dry food and stashing it all in my dorm room because I can't think of anything I wouldn't feel self-conscious cooking, preparing, and eating (not that I can really cook at all).

I am also afraid they will all bully me and steal my food if I leave it lying around the kitchen. I have an autistic friend who says this has happened to him.

I will also need to take buses and things to get around but I have never ridden a bus before, I don't know how they work and I'm frightened I'll take one and get lost.

I would sah-gay for using this thread as my personal blog, but these days I haven't been able to take it easy at all. How does a little girl survive university life if it is such a hostile environment and so much is expected of me? Please be gentle and advise friends.

There isn't really much you can do about it, so it's best not to think about it. It might take time, but those kinds of things always turn out fine in the end, anyway. Just do what comes natural and don't give a fuck about things that aren't worth it.

When I started to go to university, I was so anxious that I threw up every morning.

It wasn't really that bad though, objectively. People were nice and I was vaguely interested in the lessons. I didn't even have poor grades, although I never really prepared for anything. After a while, my anxiety seemed to get better. As if my irrational fears and neuroticism would slowly disappear and be replaced by a more healthy mindset.

But then I kind of lost it.
What I found slightly troublesome before became terrifying. My paranoia made me fear everyone and all kinds of situations that could lead to me embarrassing myself. I completely drove my life in the ground and dropped out after not going to classes, not going anywhere at all, for a long period.

I'm still not sure what caused that breakdown. It's as if all those latent tendencies that were there for my entire life just blew up on me and started to dominate me.
It's like my mind is split into a rational and a completely irrational overly emotional part and the emotional part wins every time because even though the rational knows what to do and can assess situations realistically, I don't have any motivation or energy to do what I think would be right.
On some level, I simply don't care anymore and wait for the blade to fall, so to speak.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that even thought it might seem like things are getting better, and people tell you that you'll get used to it, that is not necessarily true. If you think you might have psychological issues, see a psychiatrist before shit really hits the fan.
