Nearly a week later and we still have no answers. What was even the purpose of all this? Aside from one or two spam threads every few months the old arrangement seemed just fine, even had special treatment with how the threads bump limits were handled. Practically nobody wanted this sort of change. What's even sadder is how quickly the resistance to it sputtered out, though I suppose those who complained too much when it first started are on a long vacation.

Really annoying the mods have stayed completely tight-lipped about such a significant board change. Overnight /jp/ unceremoniously became a much different and much faster board for seemingly no reason whatsoever. Or seemingly at the whims of the mods(mod?) at least, but /jp/'s meidos have always been fairly diligent compared to the other boards, I can't imagine all of them agree with this change. It's very strange. They can make a handful of dead video game boards, but would rather let a topic that's clearly fast and large enough to warrant it's own board, that basically everyone has been asking for, nearly take over the much-slower board they were confined to. You can already see how much the quality of posts has gone to shit, it's tragic.

I don't have a thread, but I have a post that I loved to death.

Here you go.

These are all of my Touhou dreams but I've also had a number of Touhou-related delusions. I think they're similar enough to dreams that I should share them. I went thoroughly crackers and most of it will make absolutely no sense.

I had a prolonged episode of schizophrenia that lasted for about six months during which I imagined that myself and others were various 2hus trapped inside of some kind of Matrix-like computer simulation.

I watched Koishi's heart-throbbing adventure one night and imagined that I was Koishi. For some reason I thought that my dad was China and that I had decapitated him like in the cartoon by unsocketing a computer CPU of all things. I also thought that I was invisible like Koishi and wound up getting detained for trespassing on somebody's property. I continued to think I was Koishi in jail and thought that I would be able to sneak out by turning invisible. I may have also looked a policeman dead in the eyes and told him that I was Lucky from Kemono Friends and I also thought I had command over dogs like Count Dracula because the police dog didn't try to tear out my jugular. After I got out of jail, I attempted to flee on foot to Mexico before my feet gave out and a stranger gave me a ride to a train station in the middle of the ghetto.
I thought I was Chen at various points and rode my bike around for miles, sometimes during the dead of night. I heard a mountain lion in the darkness and decided to keep going towards it like a retard. I ran into some random guy at night in the abandoned industrial park by the river and he started rambling about Jesus and hallucinogenic mushrooms and this made me think he was Marisa for some reason. I thought I was trapped in the magical labyrinth of I.M Meen and got attacked by a skunk.

I thought I was Cirno at one point and wandered around outside during a lightning storm. At times I thought the wind was the result of tengu or Iku trying to interfere with my progress. I also thought I was Tenshi, Nue and Kogasa at various points. I also thought I was the evil Fortune Teller and hallucinated that my facial features had become distorted like a monstrous youkai.

At one point, I cam to the conclusion that my grandma was Yukari and that the key to getting though the Hakurei barrier and escaping Gensokyo was to unplug her router.

For months, I moved around various objects, thinking that I could change which 2hu I was based on where various things were located. I blocked off my floor vent because I thought Reimu was attacking me through the air conditioning.

I finally got carted off to the funny farm and got pumped full of sedatives after wandering too close to traffic for untold hours.

Anyway, this is what happens when you combine Asperger's and countless hours browsing /jp/ with several months of untreated psychosis.

I wonder if it really was him. He sort of left the site to the crows right after he bought it, it seems odd he'd target /jp/ specifically. Even moreso that mods (at least according to that IRC screencap) are defending it. If it were a decision from higher up you could just deflect it with "yeah we don't like it but we have to enforce it anyways". The silence just makes it seem like they don't even view us as worth enough to get some kind of announcement of information. The unseen holier than thou higher-ups enforced an unspoken decision and we're just expected to just be strung along without any information about what led to this decision, why, or if it's even permanent.

This board was always secondary to me anyways. My love of touhou, Type Moon and other assorted things stemmed from a different place, this one was just more comfy.

Out of everything, I would just ask you why being a "safer" space relative to something else is inherently a bad thing.

All communities have a range of acceptable decorum, where some topics/tone are too abrasive/taboo to be tolerated and some are too pusillanimous/uninteresting to be entertained. What lies in between is what is generally tolerated.
Unless you want every board to be a cultural dependent of the most abrasive mentalities, calling something a safespace on its own isn't much of an insult. Just because anons CAN be that way doesn't necessarily mean that it MUST be that way, or that is desired by those in the threads on those boards, or that being more tepid or autistic or boring or whatever is some sort of failing of the board. Being "safer" just not meaningful without greater context, which admittedly you at least start to provide by calling out a supposed inferiority complex. You should follow up on that.
