Hiya /lit/izens, hope you're doing well. Recently finished Notes From Undergound, enjoyed it, obviously. But it's made me think; what about Pevear and Volokhonsky is so bad? I only know English (and a tiny bit of German, lol), so I don't quite understand how a translation can be so make or break. Please explain to me why we hate Larissa and Richard (or are they just hated for popularity/accessibility?). Thanks guys :)
