Really the only qualification is that whatever you write has to be accepted as authentic scripture by at least some Christians. And most Christians believe that the Bible is finalized, completed, scripture.

The Quran wasn’t a new book in the bible, it was meant to be a standalone book that would completely replace the supposedly corrupted bible. So no one considers the Quran a ‘new book of the bible’
