What are some good books that contain critiques of modernity? I'm looking for writers more along the lines of Mishima and Houellebecq than Guenon and Evola.

Wagner was the German Mishima, Patriotism and The Sea of Fertility were partially based on Tristan und Isolde and Dear Ring des Nibelungen.

He has many criticisms of modernity similar to Mishima in his essays and plays.
