If you have to ask, you're probably going to get turned off by the "pacing". Some stuff gets written, and then no one gives a good reply to it for hundreds of years, if ever. There's also the fact that if you're aimless about it, you won't get a lot out of it, and mostly end up with a mess of a world view, by taking bits that sound like "live, laugh, love" inspirational quotes.

There's a ton of value in knowing all the wrong ways to approach a problem, and the skills you develop from working through these problems, can be applied to all other aspects of your life.
It's also incredibly low IQ to think that there's much left to be said about our essence. For the last 50ish years, we've been stuck in this post-modern hellhole, that hasn't produced much worthwhile writing. You have to move into the niches, to get anything interesting currently. The current skill to develop is being able to identify all the post-modern trash, from the actual writing, which is actually one of the most important skills to learn. Based on how easily people are falling into Marxism, feminism, CRT, queer theory, etc it might be the most important skill to develop.

I had a similar experience. Got into philosophy in early adulthood but let it go to pursue social skills, a career and a gf. Now I have a wife and a kid in my late 20's and getting back into philosophy. Nothing feels more meaningful than to teach philosophy to my kid when he gets older.
