>The Great American Writer Of The Great American Novel.
Have you even read his stupid book?

>60:18 But why should I say much concerning this matter? For we know not but what ye yourselves are seeking for authority. We know not but what ye are also traitors to your country.
>60:19 Or is it that ye have neglected us because ye are in the heart of our country and ye are surrounded by security, that ye do not cause food to be sent unto us, and also men to strengthen our armies?
>60:20 Have ye forgotten the commandments of the Lord your God? Yea, have ye forgotten the captivity of our fathers? Have ye forgotten the many times we have been delivered out of the hands of our enemies?
>60:21 Or do ye suppose that the Lord will still deliver us, while we sit upon our thrones and do not make use of the means which the Lord has provided for us?
>60:22 Yea, will ye sit in idleness while ye are surrounded with thousands of those, yea, and tens of thousands, who do also sit in idleness, while there are thousands round about in the borders of the land who are falling by the sword, yea, wounded and bleeding?

The Book of Mormon is lame. It's like what I'd come up with if you asked me to make up several hundred pages of fake Bible off the top of my head.

I promise you those verses you call lame have resonated with thousands of Mormons in their time of need. It's like the horoscope, vague enough you can read what you want to read in it. People have tried to write Bibles, but only a few were able to, like in this case, build an entire state and a hundred billion dollar business

The relative success of the Mormon movement wasn't the result of the brilliance of the Book of Mormon as a book.

The fact that they only have theories to prove it was faked, there is no concrete evidence he faked the book, so we have to abide by the story that he genuinely translated it by himself with no help of others for the creation, with limited education and at a young age in early 19 century USA. Also recently we got more information that most of the things he talked on the book actually existed in the America's like types of 'horses', complex cities with kings, cereals like barley too, and last but not least Nahom in Saudi Arabia. For me it's a combination that proves the book of mormon authenticity, utilizing history and the limited information of the time. I think if we can't either prove it and they can't also (similar to Pascal wager issue) prove he faked it all you can say is well, somehow he developed the book in 3 months, thats why skeptics say he was a genius or a creation genius, that by the way is a laughable thing to say or ironic

Chiasmus a few chapters later in Alma 36 is also impressive.
