I know, people put far too much emotion into these conversations. Their diet is part of their identity and those intolerant enough to other people's preferred dietary choices feel a need to defend it.
I love meat too, I can't feel well inside without my once-per-week huge steak and french fries fix, but I'm not going to cry about veggies and what not, or start insulting people, or take offense as the science shows us we had some serious wrong assumptions about what we have been eating all these past decades. I learn as we find out, and I adjust how I can.

>According to research published in the journal Nature, every time we create a memory, it harms our brain sells. This is because each memory creation causes inflammation in the brain and DNA damage in nerve cells as the memories are 'fused' into neurons and preserved.

>The memory formation process includes creating and fortifying connections between neurons, which allows information to be stored and retrieved later. However, this process harms the brain cells involved. According to the latest research, the act of remembering something for an extended period causes brain inflammation and DNA damage in nerve cells.
>Researchers conducted experiments on mice for the study and concluded that memory formation occurs within the hippocampus, a portion of the brain that is the major storage store for human memories and is essential to the process of remembering.

>"Inflammation of brain neurons is usually considered to be a bad thing since it can lead to neurological problems such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. But our findings suggest that inflammation in certain neurons in the brain's hippocampal region is essential for making long-lasting memories," neuroscientist Jelena Radulovic from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York told Science Alert.

>To stimulate their memory, the mice were given brief moderate electric shocks. A closer examination of the hippocampus neurons revealed gene activity in receptor pathways critical for inflammatory signalling.

The book is filled with hilarious asides rants interspersed with the mathematics, but usually the target is military expenditure and the production of nuclear weapons. In the original French the term used was les Nègres so no meaning was lost.

>I resent being mutilated at birth and not being able to have a fully functioning penis, as all cutfags should.
From one cutfag to another, you need to know that nothing can change what happened to you. Foreskin is not just an extension of the skin on your penis shaft, it's a very particular arrangement and density of nerve endings embedded in skin of a particular type. Stretching the skin on your penis shaft over the head of your penis will not restore the function, form, or feeling of the foreskin you lost, and it could result in further injury or disfigurement that would only make your situation worse. There's no sense in dwelling it, especially if your penis is otherwise functional. Appreciate what you have, accept what happened to you, make sure it doesn't happen to your kids, and let people know why they shouldn't do it to their kids. If you feel strongly enough about the issue, you could join a group for political activism on the topic with the aim of spreading awareness or even pushing the government to make male circumcision as illegal as female circumcision. Pic related, it's something you should try to take to heart.

>> No.16172918

Skin stretching is a tried and true method with thousands of years of historical precedent. The Jews used to to it to fit in with the Greeks. The foreskin cannot be replicated but the remaining inner skin and outer skin can be extended to form a substitute. This substitute will restore glans sensitivity, moisture, and skin motility. The new skin will contain new nerve endings as well, not as many as were lost, but a good amount. There are photos online of people who have gone through the process and they really do appear as if they were uncut. Good luck anon.

It's just like every other applied math discipline (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Physics).

There's differing levels of mathematical development needed for different sub-fields. If you are getting into mathematical statistics, you will likely end up doing a pretty thorough course in measure, functional analysis, and algebraic geometry/smooth manifold topology. I'd call this pretty close to mathematics.

If you are doing more "application" oriented work, you probably won't need much of the real sophistication required for more general approaches to statistics. It all just depends on what level of depth you want to pursue statistics.

The problem is the 0.001% of patients who are harmed can shut it all down if they had to be liable, especially for something that is at it's core an elective procedure.

The cult of society deems a small amount of collateral damage as inevitable and preferable to the alternative which is not having these vaccines or having a very reduced uptake.

IMO no one should be harmed for doing the right thing but most of society does not see things that way. Being maimed by a vaccine is just seen as an unfortunate, unavoidable event on the same level as any other accidental death where no one can be considered at fault.
