Fair enough. A lot have things have gotten worse over time due to appealing to the lowest common denominator. I miss when people actually socialized normally instead of constantly looking at their phones.

It's cool bruv. Can't say I've been there with retro vidya, but I understand that feeling regardless. Something about the world has gotten colder and darker in the last 10-15 years and I was glad to have experienced better times where people were less frigid and more human. Stay safe out there and I hope you feel better soon.

Nostalgiafags are the worst because they make idiots who claim that old games are all nostalgia look like they're right.

Don't worry anon, I know a guy who can take you back to the past. I'm just warning you now though, the gaming experience may not be as pleasant as you remember it to be.

Here's a different perspective anon. Like you, I was an N64 kid. But I grew up poor, so I couldn't really afford that many games or had to resort to renting at BB. I was also a dumb kid and didn't know which games were actually good, on top of all that just a rough childhood in general.

But now those games are more accessible than ever. It's super easy to even get PS2 emu up and running nowadays. And fan translations are coming out all the time for these retro systems, oftentimes games I never even knew existed, so it's like brand new games are coming out all the time even though they're technically 20+ years old. I still get the same wonder discovering new JP SNES, PSX, and PS2 games, but now I don't have to read about it in magazines for a year, and then when it comes out hope it doesn't go out of print and skyrocket in price before I can afford it. I can just download it and play it right away.

It's a tough time to be alive lately, but it's a magical time to be a retro gamer, anon. Chin up.
