the oleo saccharum thing other works with most other citrus fruits too, and you can even take other in-season fruits like berries, blitz them in a food processor or blender and pour it in the bowl with the peels and sugar (DON'T fully puree it it'll become agony to strain and the more pulp that makes it inside = the sooner it'll go bad). they won't have any fancy latin oils to yank out, but the sugar will still pull all their juice and color and pectin from the pulp, which will probably make a jelly that when mixed and watered down in the lemonade will give you a super intense color and a thicker, luxurious mouth feel. my personal favorite combination is blackberry lemonade with a couple mint leaves muddled in the pitcher.

I don't think giving her the money would have accomplished anything besides rewarding her behavior, goals still would have been unfulfilled and Idol would still be on the hook for refunds. Until the day comes when Idol refuses to refund donothons in situations like this, I don't really have any particular reason to distrust them more than I already would distrust the individual girls too.

That said, between this and the Yuko quagmire where I'm sure they're desperately trying to get her do her job too, I really really really hope Idol is very careful with donothon goal selection in the future, because I don't see them ever killing the meme itself. Pochi and Yuko had by far the most "shit nigger what were you thinking" ambitious goals, and it's clear at this point that they're much better off promising shit that can actually be finished in a reasonable time frame.

Same, I don't understand it either. Part of me wonders and treads into pure rrat territory, if she isn't dressing up some other kind of change with evocative "muh freedom" language. The first thing my mind goes to is something related to donothons, that tries to make talents liable or penalized in some way if they bail or fuck up before the donothon is resolved and Idol is forced to refund, like they did with Riro's. But that's assuming a level of malice that she actually planned in advance to pump and dump everyone with the second donothon and I'm not comfortable with that level of reach, currently.

I'm doing an all nighter so I got a zoomer energy drink to stay up, which I normally hate because they all taste like artificial sweetener syrup, but this one was sour lemonade flavor and I was hopeful they wouldn't put so much in. then I found out it still tastes like artificial sweetener syrup, and they had to make it (slightly) sour by putting so much citric acid in that it was the second ingredient behind fucking water.

all this to say I think aviel should start competing with phase's coffee by bottling fuyo's pee and mixing it with pure cane sugar and meth.
