I'll level with you on this one. If I did this, everyone would scream "out of character."

I have to compromise somewhere. Either some of the characters, namely the drill sergeants/superiors, or going to be firm and ready which is completely antithetical to who the chuubas are, or I can temper it back a bit. I'm trying to have it both ways and do a "stern in public, familial in private" sorta thing, but I am genuinely confused how people expect me to write Holos as drill sergeants and not have them be even slightly out of character in the process lol.

I can give this more grit, but if I give it more grit, I don't want to hear "but she's not in character from anybody." Tell me what you'd rather and I'll make it so, just don't complain about it.

We got a few stories that put them in situations and upbringings that are drastically different from the reality, but they still have that spark in how they carry themselves that makes them still feel like them. Wolverine's slightly canadian accent isnt in everyone's mind but Gambit's french one is iconic. Ironically is the game with Korone vs say Fubuki's accent
